“ Great neighborhood spot with incredibly solid sandwiches and very fast service. One of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had. ”
“ We were just wandering around Eastern Market and stumbled onto this place. There is a different vibe going on here that is enjoyable. The menu is kinda cool. It was not busy while we visited. Bria was our server, and she had an AWESOME and exciting attitude. She never seemed to grumble or pout and always had a smile. Music and food were great. ”
“ Super laid back spot in EM with equally creative and delicious samwiches, accented with really friendly service. I started with their deviled eggs and wasn't disappointed. Super creamy, enjoyed every bite, and loved the very pickled carrot slaw it comes with. Dope. I couldn't decide between all the amazing samwiches on the menu so decided to do 50/50 and order two and have half of each. The strategy worked out, both my choices were bomb. The Torta Al Pastor was super solid, chunks of seasoned pork with avocado, refried beans, queso fresco, and pickled jalapeno on fresh ciabatta. Only disappoinment was the avocado was not very fresh. My other selection was the eponymous Fight Club: tender sliced club steak, roasted tomato, creamy brown butter mayo, generous amounts of bacon, fresh shredded lettuce, on plain but delicious lightly toasted white bread. Epic. Too full to try anything else but will definitely be back. Great lunch spot if you're nearby. ”
“ One of the best sandwich shops in the District! Huge sandwiches- get the Fight Club (my favorite), the burger or the fried chicken. And the Primanti and tots- basically everything I've had is delicious! Happy hour is a great deal as well. ”
“ We had the chicken sandwich, BLT and fruity pebbles ice cream sandwich. All the sandwiches had a unique thing about them that separates them from the rest. It the flavors paired good and was cooked great. I wish fries came with the sandwich. Owner gave us a free ice cream sandwich today for no reason at all! Everything is a 1990s/2000 vibe to the place and they even gave me my receipt in a blockbuster movie case. ”
“ (Drink review only; we didn’t order food.) With inventive drinks as well as the usual wine, beer, and cocktails, Fight Club has the potential to be THE new neighborhood bar on Capitol Hill. Atmosphere and service are spot on. Try its fancier siblings Beuchert’s Saloon and Newland. ”
“ Imagine a groovy rec room with a mom who makes the best sandwiches in town. If you need someplace casual but want heightened food you will enjoy Fight Club. It’s hard to explain how a simple roast beef sandwich could be so perfect. A half portion of fries was plenty for two of us. They tasted like they came with a steak in a bistro. My friend had the torts with carnitas which was good. But after a lifetime of roast beef sandwiches, I can’t stop thinking about how this may have been the best ever. ”
“ This was our favorite place in DC while visiting. The drinks were really good, the food delicious, and the atmosphere really nice and laid back. Emilio was incredibly nice to us and we had a really great time. Thank you! ”
